Poem: Attention Seeker, 2017

Hey you attention seeker

Better yet , sort yourself out

We not here to be at your constant beck and call

We not here to listen to your endless stories of mundane freedom of speech

Tell us something thought provoking

Tell us something we don’t already know

Tell us something new

Tell us something that which our lives cannot without

Magnify the positive instead of the negative

Show us that which we cannot see instead of magnifying the bad

Show us another side of you

Show us your vulnerable side – what makes you tick

But please, attention seeker show me a side of you that doesn’t warrant this label

Cause labels are not you!

I don’t believe attention seeking defines you!

Please attention seeker, prove me right!
