Disclaimer: I have nothing against extroverts, both introverts and extroverts can learn from one another to make everything they go through a success.
Let’s chat about introverts, for those of you who don’t know I am an introvert and proud of it. I wouldn’t change anything about myself. No regrets is the motto I live by because a situation is what it is and you have to sink or swim your way out of it, back to my subject Introverts
Story time, I went to an interview a while ago and the interviewer was explaining the job description of the position and I was listening intensively without interruptions as introverts usually do. I asked him what the culture of the organisation is like he responded and at the end of his explanation he tells me the person I employ needs to be an extrovert because they have a way with people.Another story, another interview the interviewer asks me what type of environment do you prefer to work in, open plan or enclosed. I respond by saying that it doesn’t matter I can work in both environments but I do prefer a closed off section. And no I didn’t get the job.
Society does not understand what introverts are and what extroverts are. In short introverts draw energy from solitude but this doesn’t make them immune to other people. While extroverts draw energy from other people. Both introverts and extroverts have different personalities this does not make the one better than the other. I think that society needs to become more aware of the differences between introverts and extroverts.
There is something called the QUIET REVOLUTION in short its where introverts stand up for their rights and make other people aware of what introversion is. I will be posting a couple of ideas during the next few weeks of ways and things that introverts can do to make people aware I haven’t tried them as yet but if you dare to try them before me do let me know how it goes.
